From Farmington to the WPSL she saves everything

A small town just south of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area has produced one of the best Goal Keepers in the country.  Ashley Becker is completing her junior year at Gustavus Adolphus College and has stopped everything in front of her.  A three time all MIAC performer earned United Soccer Coaches All American this past season.

Ashley Becker: Farmington to Fargo WPSL Story

As new general manager for the FIRE SC 98 WPSL team Aaron Tilsen was starting to look for players he didn't have to go far.  As an Assistant at MSU Women's team he had notice Ashley Becker's athleticism and presence before she had received the accolades.

"As a strong NCAA D2 program MSU schedules some of the best local schools for the preseason.  Gustavus was a great team to play for us early in the season and Ashley made a huge impression.  She was fast off her line in 1v1 stops and she saved nearly every shot from distance."  Aaron Tilsen, FIRE SC 98 GM

Ashley has a quiet confidence about her and respects the game and her place in it.  As a new player to this league she was humbled and excited to be one of the first players selected on the team.  She credits her high school, club (Dakota Rev) and college coaches for helping improve her skills and keep her driven.  She has had success at every level and we hope she can continue that streak in the WPSL.
